Austin, TX – October 7, 2022 – The Carroll County, OH Recorder’s Office today announced it has partnered with GovOS, a leading provider of digital transformation solutions for local governments, to launch its Cloud Search solution. Starting this month, citizens have access to the advanced search system to find and view public records online. The county’s public land records platform integrates seamlessly with the GovOS Cloud Search solution.

“In addition to our commitment to the safekeeping and preservation of Carroll County historical documents, it is also this office’s duty to ensure public records are easily accessible to citizens,” said Patricia Oyer, Carroll County Recorder. “With GovOS Cloud Search, we can provide the public with easy-to-use search functionality that allows them to find and access thousands of digital documents more efficiently.”

GovOS Cloud Search is the most powerful search engine available for government records. With this system in place, county staff and citizens can search more than 300,000 land records dating back to 1967. The search functionality is set up in a geographical index meaning users can search by location (subdivision, township, village, section, etc.). Records are accessible from any device with an internet connection and the system’s built-in filters and sortable grids make it easy for users to organize their search results.

“The Carroll County Recorder’s Office has given citizens the power to quickly search more than 50 years’ worth of digital public records,” said Mark Nicks, Product Owner, GovOS. “From both a preservation and an accessibility standpoint, digitizing records can be a game changer. Add to that the integration of Cloud Search and citizens are not only accessing public documents more easily but they are also able to find what they are searching for using even the smallest details.”

Carroll is the second county in the state of Ohio to deploy GovOS Cloud Search. With its familiar Google-like interface, the powerful search engine is capable of combing through millions of digitized records and delivering search results within seconds. The system makes the search process simple and straightforward while offering advanced search capabilities for more experienced users.
