I’m the Register and Recorder for Lawrence County, PA. I’ve worked in the office for 31 years. As an elected official, I feel responsible for ensuring that technology is up-to-date in my office and I want to make it as easy as possible for my constituents to access online self-service options and GovOS has just made that so easy and made it very possible to do these things.
So I started part-time at the office here, and things were done a lot differently back then. There was a lot more paperwork and a lot less technology. And over time, as I’ve been here, the technological advances that we’ve made here has made the process easier and faster for everyone involved.
We were the first county ever to implement GovOS, and we really got to know everybody personally. And everybody is so friendly, so courteous. If you have a problem, they want to fix it.
Lawrence County is really ahead of the game. They really put the constituents first. They’re trying out different methods to make sure that everyone has the opportunity to submit, that they don’t have to come in person. And I think what that’s allowing is to reach a wider group of people than if we just did it by hand.
We take pride in the system just as much as GovOS does, and we’re very thankful to have a company that realizes the importance of advancements. We ask for the newest and the greatest stuff for our constituents, and GovOS is always on board and trying to do that for us.
