Indiana, PA, October 20, 2022 – The Indiana County, PA Recorder of Deeds, Register of Wills and Clerk of Orphans’ Court Office today announced it has launched Cloud Search from GovOS, a leading provider of digital transformation solutions for local governments. Indiana County citizens can now use GovOS Cloud Search to go online and access hundreds of thousands of publicly available records dating all the way back to 1806. The advanced search functionality of the Cloud Search solution lets searchers view results in a Google-like search result list, making it easy to find text strings in either written or scanned documents.

“We are extremely pleased to offer this upgraded function to our system!” said Maria Jack, Recorder of Deeds, Register of Wills and Clerk of Orphans’ Court, Indiana County, PA. “Our customers will find this system to be much faster and user-friendly with lots of features to aid in their searches. They will be able to access this information from their homes or offices with little instruction. Our helpful staff, combined with the customer service provided by GovOS, will ensure a smooth-running system for our ever-changing digital world.”

GovOS Cloud Search is the most powerful search engine available for government records. With the GovOS Cloud Search system, anyone in Indiana County can search more than 760,000 land records. Records can be searched for and viewed from any device with an internet connection. Constituents can also easily purchase certified documents online. The county’s public land records platform, CountyFusion, integrates seamlessly with the GovOS Cloud Search solution.

In addition to Cloud Search, Indiana County will be launching GovOS Property Alert to help protect residents against property record fraud that could affect property ownership. The free service allows users to create profiles to receive email alerts anytime the individual’s name or entity is used in a real property filing within the county.

“By providing citizens with the ability to perform advanced online public records searches from anywhere, the Indiana County, PA Register and Recorders Office has eliminated the need for citizens to come into the records room and physically scan books and documents to find what they’re looking for,” said Mark Nicks, Product Manager, GovOS. “With the addition of Property Alert, the County is taking steps to help reduce fraudulently-recorded documents to protect its constituents.”

Indiana is the second county in the state of Pennsylvania to deploy GovOS Cloud Search. With its familiar Google-like interface, Cloud Search’s powerful engine is capable of combing through millions of digitized records and delivering search results within seconds. The system makes the search process simple and straightforward while offering advanced search capabilities for more experienced users.
